About 15 years ago my wife and I were watching a documentary on PBS about Queen Elizabeth II. They showed a scene of the queen sitting for a portrait - I took one look and said to my wife, "My God, it's your grandmother!!" No kidding, at that point, the queen of all England and my wife's maternal grandmother could have passed for twins. Except my wife's grandmother, quintessential blue-haired French-Canadian meme' that she is, would have given it away with her accent, which is decidedly not British.
