At Least We All Agree On SOMETHING

I grabbed this screenshot of one of the QuickVote polls on CNN.com yesterday. Almost 100,000 people responded. I think this is about as close to a unanimous opinion as you're ever going to get in this country.

Sad commentary on the state of things, isn't it?

While I'm not surprised with such results, I remember seeing similar polls when Viet Nam raged and I'm guessing that you'd see similar responses around 1861. I'll be interested in some historical perspective before I'll believe that this is the worst we've been.

It's not the worst we've been, but it's the worst a lot of us have seen in our lifetime. Vietnam isn't even a memory to most people under 40. It would be interesting to know the average age group that voted.
