Sheesh.
Back to business. As I mentioned, I went ahead and gave Movable Type the boot after all these years and have switched to WordPress. Of course, that means I have NO idea what I’m doing with the actual coding of the site; I just went ahead and used a pre-made template and tweaked it only a little bit. So if anything isn’t working properly, it might take me a while to fix it while I learn how to use WP’s coding and brush up my rusty PHP knowledge.
The only thing that I can see that will be sticky for a while is the disconnect between the archiving from WordPress and the MT archives. Because I broke my MT install pretty well, I don’t know if I’ll be able to export out all the existing entries. Luckily, because MT builds static pages for every post, I have all of the posts, and all the permalinks work. So I may not even bother with trying to import them. We’ll see.
As always, if you notice something askew or not working, let me know. Not that I have the slightest idea what to do about it.

Why did you decide to change to WP?
1. It’s free
2. It’s widely supported
3. It’s free
4. I could install it on my own web host’s server and not have to use theirs
5. It’s free
