A few housekeeping notes for those who follow along with these things

1. I upgraded to WordPress 2.5 this morning. There’s a lot of ballyhoo about the new version, but it’s almost 100% “behind the magic curtain”, so readers should not notice the difference. If you’re actually reading this post and you happen to notice the site not behaving properly, do let me know, won’t you?

2. I have pulled theAdSense ads from the pages being generated by WordPress. Pages that pre-date my MT-to-WP migration will continue to have ads because I don’t really want to go back and hand-edit all those files. How much money did I actually make in the couple of years I had advertisements on the main page? About $47. Whoopee spit.

3. My “bigredhouse.net” domain name is expiring at the end of April and I have decided not to renew it. The discussion forum which presently lives there will be merged back into this site and will get a few cosmetic changes to go along with that. The forum is for registered members only, but I am usually willing to entertain requests from people who want to participate.

4. I’ll also probably make a few cosmetic changes on the main page as well. So keep your eyes open for a new design in the next couple of weeks.
