Workin’ Hard, or Hardly Workin’?

Dimmesdale!

It’s one or the other for me these days, which is why I haven’t been keeping up with the posting duties.

This week will be mostly the former. Don’t expect much action here. See ya real soon!

Did you know porkypines stink? Honestly. There is one at the Santa Ana (CA) Zoo and he is so cute, and boy does he stink.

That said, your porkypine here is extraordinarily cute and prickly. A lot like my kids and, possibly, yours.

  2. Brian Says:

    That ain’t no porkypine, that there’s a hedge-a-ma-hog.

  3. Tony Says:

Cute and prickly, but not at all stinky. I suppose those would be good things.

Hedgehogs are into smearing their feces on your cellar walls (as well as any cute little houses one might build for them) as high as they can reach, which is higher than you’d imagine. Also, they have fleas and intestinal parasites. And, meal worms? They like them, but they tend to not finish their bowlful, with the result that the meal worms get loose and populate your cellar.

  5. Brian Says:

So much for the “not at all stinky”. But they CAN type 90 words per minute, which is faster than most other woodland critters.

  6. mig Says:

Dude, for sure, that’s the only reason to keep them around.

  7. shelley Says:

Yeah, but it’s all hunt and peck.
