You think you’ve got troubles? This is Bubba. He was rescued from the street in Chicago as an eight-week-old kitten and was in such tough shape that he had to have one of his rear legs amputated. Like a lot of feral cats taken into an adoptive home, he’s not entirely comfortable with living among people, even though he is now physically healthy.
But Bubba’s real problem has nothing to do with his missing leg or his wild babyhood. You see, Bubba is transgendered. That’s right. Bubba may look all tomcat on the outside, but inside there’s a cute little girl just waiting to come out.
At least that’s what the “pet psychic” says. In fact, the psychic says there are as many cats who need sexual selection surgery as there are people. But since cats can’t tell us their inner psychological needs, the veterinary field is sadly lacking in expertise to meet this critical need.
