I knew I was jinxing myself the other day when I started bragging to people on Facebook that I had not been sick all winter. Charlotte stayed home from school one day last week with a low-grade fever, scratchy throat, and major sniffles, so it was only a matter of time before the same symptoms were passed on to me. I started feeling crappy long about late Tuesday evening, and yesterday it took massive doses of ibuprofen and Diet Pepsi to get me out of my warm cozy La-Z-Boy. So I didn’t particularly feel up to trying to save the world with my stellar prose and acerbic wit here.
Plus, if you haven’t noticed, people are more than a little bent out of shape with the latest round of bullshit from AIG, and so there’s been almost nothing of interest outside of rants against the capitalist swine on the 150+ blogs I read every day. Even on completely non-political blogs, the writers went out of their way to blast AIG. So, after saving something like 47 different links on the subject in the brief window when I was upright and taking nourishment yesterday, I realized I really didn’t want to post about AIG.
And so today I am not quite as lethargic as I was yesterday, but I am completely out of other interesting things to post except some video links I have been saving for a rainy day. What luck! It’s raining even as we speak. So today I have an all-video theme for you, even including a political rant, but not about AIG.
We’ll see if tomorrow brings anything better for me to share with you.
