A few bits of housekeeping for the official record. After the jump for the insatiably curious.
1. Removed all pre-WordPress content. That means all of 2006 and the first half of 2007 now join the rest of the massive offline archive of BKO content. For years I have said I would someday cull out a selection of “The Best of BKO”, and I really would like to do that, but only a fool would hold their breath waiting for such a thing.
2. The sidebar feature was added on October 10. It’s just a WP plugin that lets you designate one category to appear in a designated sidebar, so easily re-integrated back into the main body if I get tired of it. Since most WP themes include sidebars, it should be easy to maintain when/if I change the theme.
3. Looking at new themes again, too. I miss the days of being able to whip up my own blog design in MovableType.
