Hello, i have researched the problem of the overheating time capsule for a while now. Apples design is very poor for ventilation but can get the job done. well not right out of the box but it is possible to fix all over heating problems. The TC has a very nice dc brushless fan inside it that kicks on in relevance to a thermal sensor. As you can see above the thermal sensory has foam over it and is stuck on the hard drive. For me i completely rewired my fan for it to always stay on, this makes mine stay at a very cool temp for great performance. I got the fan running at an optimum low noise fast speed. i defiantly didn't want it to sound like an airplane haha..... but all this was a task. for the more common person i suggest this to save you TC from heat. Ready? If you are up to a lil challenge it would be necessary for you to open the case as shown above. if you dont know how research it on youtube. (note: be carefull with fan wires that are connected. and completely unplug device!!).....

if you would like to know the rest please comment back. and i will post the answer....... thanks
