Of course, anyone who has ever read Daniel Pinkwater’s charming series of Polar Bear Larry books KNOWS that polar bears love muffins, but toast is probably the best you can expect living on an ice flow in the Arctic, where there are few muffin bakeries. Of course, what the polar bears probably REALLY want for breakfast is Russian sailors. Polar bears are likely to be extinct in the wild within forty years due to loss of habitat, and all the toast in the world isn’t going to change that, I’m afraid.
