The BBC reports that an 18-year-old Nepalese man named Khagendra Thapa Magar has met with editors from the Guinness Book of World Records to verify that he is the shortest man in the world, beating out former record-holder He Pingping of China by seven inches. Magar is only 22 inches tall and hasn’t grown since the age of 8, but the Guinness people wouldn’t confirm him until he reached the age of 18.
Personally, I am just glad to be “off the podium” at last.
