But Can You Pass An Elephant Through It?

Now why didn’t YOU think of this: a “side-threading” needle that is nearly fool-proof, easing the endless frustrations generations of seamstresses and tailors had to endure trying to put a thread through the eye of a needle.

The “Spiral Eye” needle was designed by a woman named Pam Turner who watched her mother struggle over and over again trying to thread needles. She’s been selling them for a couple of years, and a segment about her on ABC’s “Nightline” brought her a lot of exposure, but, as you can see from the website, it’s still a pretty small operation that she runs, selling online and in a few craft store chains. But her design is such an improvement on the basic design of sewing needles that it really ought to completely replace the traditional sewing needle completely. I’ll guarantee that if you are someone who does any kind of needlework, you would be overjoyed to never have to fuss over threading a needle again. Brilliant!

Seeing this, I’m shocked that no one thought of this before (assuming that’s the case). Just think of all the hours people have spent trying to thread needles, without wondering how to improve on that. What a simple, elegant solution. Put her to work on health care now.
