Those “Bikini Girls” who kept getting all the attention from the cameramen during the NFC Championship game last Sunday are busy enjoying their 15 minutes of fame for being willing to take off their shirts in minus-4-degree weather.
But they’re just amateurs compared to what the citizens of Verkhoyansk, Russia have to manage. Verkhoyansk is the coldest city in the world, with an average daily temperature for January of -49 Celsius (-56 Fahrenheit). Human flesh freezes in a matter of seconds at those temperatures, and in the capital of the Yakutia province, the government officially warns people not to wear eyeglasses outdoors because they will instantly freeze to your face.
“Show us your ta-tas!” isn’t a football cheer in Verkhoyansk, it’s a death threat!
