Today is National Sandwich Day. This day was chosen for such an august occasion because it is the birthday anniversary of John Montagu, the fourth Earl of Sandwich, for whom the lunch standard is named.
Sadly, there is no official holiday to honor the invention of Lord Douchebag, but since this is also Election Day this year, I hereby move that today also be known as National Douchebag Day for 2009.
