It sounds like it was made up by some overzealous Druid-wannabes, but check out this Celtic Horoscope site.
It claims that the Celts had a zodiac based on the various trees they knew, and that a different tree was assigned to each moon cycle of the calendar. There are 19 different tree signs and they each occur twice a year. So, for example, my birthday is during the second cycle of “pine”. That translates into a personality who: “loves agreeable company, very robust, knows how to make life comfortable, very active, natural, good companion, but seldom friendly, falls easily in love but its passion burns out quickly, gives up easily, everything disappointments until it finds its ideal, trustworthy, practical. “
Well, okay. That fits me well enough and isn’t too dissimilar from my traditional Greco-Roman zodiac sign, Virgo. But the first Pine cycle is roughly coincidental with Pisces, and a Pisces personality is just about the polar opposite of a Virgo: shy, romantic, trustworthy, aloof, dreamy, creative, understanding, unrealistic, impractical. Plus that doesn’t fit too well with the Pine personality as described above.
Sounds like a little too much wishful thinking to me.
